What is the Void Gauntlet?

The Void Gauntlet is an Intelligence-based weapon that is able to deal void damage while providing slight healing.

This is an excellent secondary weapon to inflict damage, slow, debuff, and root enemies, while your Life Staff is your primary weapon used to heal allies alongside granting buffs.

Attributes

The Void Gauntlet is a weapon in New World that relies on Intelligence, and it is one of the main attributes to dump points into. The secondary attribute for the Void Gauntlet is Focus.

Intelligence will determine how much damage you deal. Focus will determine how much healing is done with the Void Gauntlet, and its abilities.

Void Gauntlet Weapon Mastery

There are two Weapon Mastery Trees with Void Gauntlet: Annihilation and Decay. Annihilation changes your attacks to deal damage with Void Blade as a melee-focused build. Decay is used to inflict area-of-effect debuffs, damage, and heal allies. You can only have three Active Skills at a time.

In the Annihilation Tree, there are three Active Skills, each with its own upgrades, and nine Passives. This prioritizes melee combat by inflicting damage up close and using a critical hit rate to deal massive damage on foes, while refreshing cooldowns.

• Vicious Void – +10.0% Critical Damage on Void Blade attacks

• Voidcaller – gain a stack of Void Essence. With 6 stacks, consume all stacks and gain a 3.0m aura healing self and allies for 30.0% weapon damage and deals 30.0% weapon damage per second to enemies. Healing scales from Focus

Decay Tree Active Skill Recommendations

In the Decay Tree, there are three Active Skills, each with its own upgrades, and eight Passives. Decay is secondary to Annihilation.

• Slowing Orb – orb slows enemies, and reduces their movement speed by 30.0% for 3.0s if already afflicted by a debuff

Passives:

• Radiant Efficiency – mana costs are reduced by 25.0% while you are above 50.0% Mana

Best Accompanying Weapons

Due to the Void Gauntlet's damage output, you are going to want to accompany it with a weapon that heals allies.

The optimal choice is the Life Staff.

Though the Life Staff will be your primary weapon to create area-of-effect buffs/heals, the Void Gauntlet works as a foil by debuffing, slowing, and weakening enemies with Disintegration alongside rooting them in place.

Best Perks for Void Gauntlet

For crafting weapons and armor (check out our How to Level Armoring and How to Level Weaponsmithing guides), you can apply a certain Perk if you have the Special Resource to do so or by using a Charm. Some Perks work very well with the Void Gauntlet build applying an advantageous bonus. You can only have one active Perk at a time.
